About Me

A little about me: I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and received my BA in physics and philosophy at Utah State University. I later went to Texas A&M and received my MA in philosophy. Anything else? Just ask. I’m always happy to discuss.

My research interests: My research interests are a minority in philosophy: I research the philosophy of sexuality and love. Since it’s such a broad topic, I have to incorporate and learn anything I can get my hands on: marriage, gender issues, gay rights, homosexuality, pornography, the psychology of love, feminism, friendship, relationships in general, sexism and anything else pertaining to love issues.

I have lately taken an interest in the philosophical applications of culture, particularly in the field of religious beliefs among societies.

However, considering that this is not a big following in academia, my fall back interest is continental philosophy particularly in the 20th century.

I’m an adjunct philosophy professor at Weber State University and at Salt Lake City Community College.  I primarily teach Intro to Philosophy, Ethics, and Intro to Humanities.  I eventually want to obtain a PhD, but one step at a time.  The primary purpose of this blog is to get my ideas out there, and then have other people scrutinize, critique, build upon, and systematize beliefs.

I must first congratulate you on your name. I think it is almost as good as mine…but not quite.

And as you are a namesake, I wholeheartedly agree with all your views
